Mountain Gateway Community College operates a 100% online bookstore in partnership with Follett. All textbooks and course materials are ordered online and shipped directly to your home address.

How to Find and Order Your Course Materials

  1. Visit the Bookstore Portal: Go to MGCCshop.com.
  2. Load Your Course List:
    • Fast Method: Enter your 7-digit Student ID number to automatically generate required materials for all your enrolled classes.
    • Manual Method: Select your courses manually using your class schedule.
  3. Select Your Books: View required and recommended materials for each class. Select your preferred format (Buy New/Used, Rent, or Digital) and click Add Item to Bag.
  4. Review Your Bag: Select View Bag & Checkout.
  5. Complete Checkout: Check out as a guest or create an account. (Note: If renting a textbook, you must create an account).

Important Tips for Students

  • Have Your Schedule Ready: Always verify your specific course section numbers against your class schedule in myMGCC to ensure you order the correct edition.
  • Direct Shipping: All fulfilled orders ship directly to the mailing address you provide at checkout.

⚠️ Using Financial Aid to Buy Books?

Financial aid textbook charging is available 1 to 2 weeks prior to the start of each semester (and before the second 8-week session). Check your student email for the official Financial Aid & Bookstore Information announcement for exact start and end dates. Financial aid charging dates are strictly enforced by the system—no exceptions can be made once the window closes.
