The MGCC Testing Center provides proctored testing services for students at the Clifton Forge Campus (located inside the Library) and the Rockbridge Regional Center. All course exams must be pre-approved by your instructor.
1. Appointments & Operating Hours
Testing is available by appointment only.

Regular Hours of Operation
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Note: Hours are subject to change during holidays and campus intersessions.
⚠️ Important: All testing ends 15 minutes prior to closing. Please plan your arrival time accordingly based on the length of your exam.
2. Testing Center Rules & Policies
To ensure a secure testing environment, all test-takers must follow these guidelines:
- Valid Photo ID Required: You must present a government-issued or student photo ID before taking any exam.
- Authorized Materials Only: Only items explicitly permitted by your instructor are allowed on your desk.
- Prohibited Items: Cell phones, smartwatches, and all other electronic devices are strictly forbidden. Food and drinks are not allowed.
- Authorized Visitors Only: Only students taking a test are permitted inside the testing room.
- Testing Environment: Maintain quiet, avoid creating distractions, and follow all proctor instructions.
- Exam Questions/Issues: If you experience technical or exam issues, speak with your proctor before leaving the room.
3. Off-Campus / Alternate Location Proctoring
If you need to complete a proctored exam at an off-campus or alternate location, you must submit a Proctor Request Form. All alternate testing locations and proctors must be approved by your instructor in advance.
TEAS Testing for Nursing Applicants
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is required for admission into MGCC Nursing programs (RN and LPN).
Fall Virtual TEAS Exam Dates
- Wednesday, August 26 | 10:00 a.m.
- Friday, September 18 | 10:00 a.m.
- Thursday, October 15 | 1:00 p.m.
How to Register
MGCC TEAS sessions are proctored virtually.
- Visit ATI Testing to register.
- Select Register for Remote TEAS, then choose Select Institution Proctoring.
- Check your registration email for your Assessment ID and login instructions.
Nursing Application Deadline: TEAS scores must be submitted prior to the program application deadline. The LPN-to-RN program application deadline is November 1.
