General Information
The Liberal Arts Associate of Arts degree represents the first two years of many four-year college or university liberal arts majors. A challenging core of requirements is augmented by transfer electives, which will be chosen from the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and mathematics. After completing the first two years at MGCC, the student will be able to transfer into the third year of a four-year college or university liberal arts major. The Liberal Arts Associate of Arts degree supports transfer to study arts, literature, philosophy, music, and other liberal arts programs in four-year universities.
MGCC’s Liberal Arts degree has been configured to support the following TransferVirginia Pathways: English, Art History, Music, Religion, World Languages, and Philosophy. Students should consult with their academic advisor about the pathway they intend to use.
