Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, Oct. 13, at 10:30 a.m. in the MGCC Moomaw Center (1000 College Drive, Clifton Forge, VA 24422) to celebrate the official launch of the MG-TEC IT Academy.
The MG-TEC IT Academy was created to provide high school students with a direct pathway into technology careers or further education. Beginning this fall, sophomores, juniors, and seniors can take IT courses on campus or participate through HyFlex and online options. Students who complete a pathway will earn an industry-recognized certificate, preparing them for in-demand IT jobs immediately after graduation.
The ribbon cutting is free and open to the public. If you are planning to attend, RSVP by Oct. 10 to ensure lunch count by completing the form here: bit.ly/mg-tec-ribbon-cutting
