DSLCC is pleased to announce a new culinary series. Beginning January 16, culinary classes featuring American and International cuisine are being offered to the general public with Culinary Arts Program Head Ed McArdle as the instructor. These classes are being offered by the DSLCC Culinary Program in conjunction with the DSLCC Workforce Solutions and Community Education Division.

Dr. Rainone Named to National Community College Commission

Dabney S. Lancaster Community College President Dr. John Rainone has been appointed to the Commission on Small and Rural Colleges, it was announced recently by the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Dr. Rainone's term began July 1 and will continue through June 30, 2021.

DSLCC Hosts 34th Field Ecology Governor's School

For the thirty-fourth year, Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge hosted the Field Ecology Summer Regional Governor's School from June 11 to July 6. Twenty-three students from six middle and high schools in the DSLCC service area learned about ecology by studying nature outdoors rather than in the classroom.
