A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 23 to commemorate the new Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Program launch at Mountain Gateway Community College, offered in partnership with Virginia Western Community College and LewisGale Hospital Alleghany.

Mountain Gateway Community College was one of two organizations nominated for the Virginia School Board Association (VSBA) Business Honor Roll by the Rockbridge County School Board during its March meeting.

Mountain Gateway Community College is offering several Community Education courses this spring and summer, with two camps for kids! Community Education courses are open to the public and are meant to help participants hone their skills or get certified in their craft.

The students and staff of Jackson River Governor’s School at Mountain Gateway Community College will hold a Research Fair on Wednesday, April 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 5:45 p.m. The event will be held in the Moomaw Center on the MGCC campus in Clifton Forge and is open to the public.

In accordance with Section 23.1-307 (D) of the Code of Virginia, the State Board for Community Colleges provides notice that it will consider tuition and mandatory fee increases for Virginia’s Community Colleges, effective fall 2024, at 9 a.m.

Mountain Gateway Community College is proud to announce the newest generation of Phi
Theta Kappa Honor Society members. Ten of 26 members were inducted into the Alpha Eta
Omicron Chapter of PTK on Tuesday, March 19.
