Job seekers are invited to attend a regional career fair at Mountain Gateway Community College on May 3.


From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., employers will be set up outside along the sidewalk that runs from Scott Hall to the Moomaw Center and Warren Hall.


The event is designed to connect job seekers with local businesses looking to hire.

Mountain Gateway Community College invites community to attend Jackson River Governor’s School Research Fair

The students and staff of Jackson River Governor’s School at Mountain Gateway Community College will hold a Research Fair on Wednesday, April 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 5:45 p.m. The event will be held in the Moomaw Center on the MGCC campus in Clifton Forge and is open to the public.

MGCC has named the winners of its inaugural Virginia Community College System Poetry &
Luminary Arts Competition.


Hayli Givens was named MGCC's first Poet Laureate, and Sabrina Burks was named MGCC's
first Artist Luminary. Georgia Bickford placed second in the poetry contest at the MGCC level.
