Dr. John Rainone, president of Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, will join the board of directors of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), headquartered in Washington, DC. The board voted unanimously to certify the results of the 2020 Board Election on Thursday, June 4, during a Zoom meeting.  Dr.

Dr. James Cook of Lexington has been appointed to the position of Director of Institutional Advancement at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College / Executive Director of the DSLCC Educational Foundation, it has been announced by DSLCC President Dr. John Rainone.

Tamra Lipscomb of Lexington, former director of the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista and former director of DSLCC Technical Services, is returning to DSLCC as the Information Systems Technology (IST) Program Head, it was announced recently by Dr.

The Virginia Community College System and Chancellor Glenn DuBois have presented Carol O. and Morris Thomas Hudson of St. Augustine, FL, with the 15th Annual Chancellor’s Award for Leadership in Philanthropy. They were nominated for the award by the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Educational Foundation Board.

RICHMOND —The State Board for Community Colleges, by a unanimous vote, elected to maintain the current in-state tuition and mandatory fees for Fall 2020.

Every April for the past several years, the Jackson River Governor’s School has hosted an exhibition - fondly known as the JRGS Science Fair - for students in Barbara Kolb’s research course, NAS-198-199, “Intro to Scientific Research,” to show off their projects. Typically, the JRGS Science Fair is held in the Moomaw Center on the Dabney S.

Alexis Ballard had no intention of staying home after she graduated from Covington High School in 2016. She had always thought about attending Radford University, which has a well-known program in occupational therapy.

DSLCC Cubby Closet Donation

Due to the main campus and Rockbridge Regional Centers being closed during the pandemic, Dabney S. Lancaster Community College recently donated the majority of the contents of the DSLCC Roadrunner Cubby Closet (the College's food pantry) and the contents of the snack machines on the Clifton Forge campus and the RRC to local area food pantries.
