The WestRock Foundation, along with the WestRock Covington mill, represented by Rick Watro (second from right), VP of WestRock Covington Operations, has donated $20,000 to "Imagine, Invest, Inspire - The Campaign for DSLCC", the major gifts campaign for Dabney S.

WASHINGTON,  D.C.—The Council for Resource Development (CRD) recently recognized Dabney S. Lancaster Community College supporter, The Alleghany Foundation, with its 2015 Community College Benefactor Award.

It’s hard to believe we changed the clocks back last weekend.

Dabney S. Lancaster Community College’s Forestry Team brought home the winning trophy and a new Stihl 461 chainsaw, placing well enough in several events to win the 2015 John G. Palmer Intercollegiate Woodsman's Team Competition held October 10 at the Pisgah National Forest in western North Carolina, the site of the first forestry school started by Gifford Pinchot.

Tondalaya VanLear, Associate Professor of English, was nominated as the outstanding member of the DSLCC faculty for the month of October. She was selected by the student body and the community.  She will receive an Applebee’s gift card to acknowledge her contributions to the College.

Like many students right out of high school, Hannah Glick of Bridgewater, Virginia, wanted to pursue some path after graduation that would include higher education and solid chances for employment, but deciding what, when and where that would be was not an easy decision.

DSLCC Launches $3.5 Million Fund-Raising Campaign

Another great start to a new semester and academic year! Thanks to everyone for helping guide new students and welcoming those who returned to continue their studies. The DSLCC team has been incredible working together in all areas of the College. the three New Student Orientation Sessions had record numbers with over 200 students attending.

On most campuses summer is a quiet season, a time for reflection and catching one’s collective breath. This is much less true at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College.
