Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) will host a series of Summer Enrollment Events at the new Joe Wilson Workforce Center in Buena Vista, located at 2019 Forest Avenue, to help new students get started on the path to career training and higher education.

Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) celebrated the grand opening of the Joe Wilson Workforce Center on Friday, marking the completion of a $7.3 million, 18,750-square-foot facility that promises to strengthen workforce development and economic opportunity across the region.

On May 23, the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) announced a tuition and mandatory educational and general (E&G) fee increase for the upcoming academic year, beginning with the Fall 2025 semester. The changes were approved by the State Board for Virginia’s Community Colleges on May 22.
