Members of the staff and faculty at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College were recognized for their years of service to the College during the annual awards luncheon held August 16 on the DSLCC main campus in Clifton Forge.

Ed McArdle of Bath County has been named the new head of the Culinary Arts and Management Program at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College,  it was announced by Dr. Benjamin Worth, Vice President of Academic Affairs. McArdle assumed his new position at the DSLCC Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista, where the culinary program is mainly located.

Steven Leitch of Leesburg, a native of Clifton Forge and a 1989 graduate of Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, was  honored as the first recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award during the 50th annual DSLCC commencement exercises held May 12 on the Clifton Forge campus.

CLIFTON FORGE  -- More than  200 students received a total of over 400 associate degrees, certificates and career studies certificates during the 50th annual commencement exercises at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College on Friday, May 12.

Tondalaya VanLear, Associate Professor of English at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, was recognized as one of four “Educators of the Year” for 2016 at the 38th annual meeting of the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce, held March 11 at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV.

On March 3, 2017, six student members and two advisors of the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Alph Eta Omicron Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa traveled to Washington, DC. Members of the Alpha Eta Omicron Chapter voted on an overnight trip to the nation’s capital.
